The town that was built out of love for God

“God, with one thought, made the whole creation. And we are drops of that All-Conscious, can’t you make a town even? You are micro-gods. Great is man.”  Sant Kirpal Singh.

Often, the true meaning of a Master’s words become apparent only later, through the living example of His disciples. In October 1973, Sant Kirpal Singh laid the foundation stone for the third man-making center or Manav Kendra (in Nag Kalan, in Punjab, India). "The significance of a man-making center is that it is a center for man – not religion." Sant Kirpal Singh.  It is a spiritual place imbued with the radiation of God to gently transform the material man into his true spiritual essence – God; all-loving, all-wise, in harmony with himself and all life. A real community or town for the spiritual development of mankind.

Before leaving His physical body, Sant Kirpal Singh commissioned His two most devoted disciples, Doctor Harbhajan Singh and his wife, Biji Surinder Kaur, to build His man-making center. With Sant Kirpal Singh’s permission, the name Manav Kendra was changed to Kirpal Sagar, or Ocean of Grace. Further Master said of this “town”,

It will become a pilgrimage place in future for all over the world..…. The Manav Kendra (man-making center) which I wanted to build, is not yet built. It will be built here. Sant Kirpal Singh

“…can’t you make a town even?”: Dr. Harbhajan Singh and his wife were the living proof and inspiration of what could be accomplished when our attention,  is wholly and solely on God. Kirpal Sagar was built with no thought of self, but with love focused only for the true Master, God, and His mission to reveal the Oneness of God and man. Through their example, Kirpal Sagar was built without taint of ego or doer-ship, in full consciousness of which Power was actually doing everything, and will always do everything. Only such a place can sustain the loving Divine radiation forever, a pure place where the Lord always reigns, and in which a man can realize his true Divine self, above religion, race or nationality.

“..You are micro-Gods. Great is man...”   So everything is possible when we consciously allow that Power that already lives in us to work through our hands, and without any exertion on our part, it will lift our consciousness and that of our fellow man. Kirpal Sagar is a model of what can be. With one thought of God only, we can build not only a town, but a new world.
